Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer Box
Old red lacquer box, Chinese, 19th C but in an archaistic style. Perfect on a hall table, or chest of draws in a bedroom, to keep all those bits that you don’t want to loose but don’t want lying around! The lacquer has a wonderful aged colour, you can see the original colour on the base. The lid has been repaired but it doesn’t interrupt the appearance of the pattern externally.
